Dreams! Dreams remind me of when I was a child. Oh, to be that astronaut or that fire fighter. Totally obtainable dreams, right! Then why am I not up in space right now or sleeping in a bunk just waiting for that bell to ring? Why am I not waiting to slide down that fire pole, and to jump in that cool truck with those loud sirens?
For those of you out there in these professions, two words: LUCKY DUCKS!!! How fun it is when your dreams come to life! I still love to dream, but life has had other plans for me which have kept me out of both the firehouse and outer space.
As many of you know, for years, the Wewerka family has loved helping people around the globe. We’ve done work here in the United States, as well as Indonesia, Africa, Russia, Egypt, Peru, Dominican Republic, and El Salvador – just to name a few.
By helping people in the toughest conditions where food and shelter are all they have, we have been able to help re-build shattered dreams. In doing this, our own dream of being able to make a difference has become a reality.
I personally would like to thank our customers and supporters. Because of you, dreams are coming true!
“It’s the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen.”

When completing a design-build project of any scale, no saying seems to be more truthful than this one. Our designers and sales team agree, simply paying attention to each detail of the project helps us to avoid mistakes and prevent undesired results. At Wewerka, we allocate the time to do this so we can succeed in creating quality outdoor living spaces that our customers have enjoyed for over 40 years.
Having worked in various landscape organizations, diverse environments and through multiple processes of the landscaping industry myself, I can happily say that the structure and organization that Wewerka strives for daily entails the components of a true elite design-build company. I have seen first-hand how the “little things have made big things happen.”
A design/build company is one that has the resources necessary to complete a landscape project from initial concept to final installation. We like to think of it as “one-stop shopping”. Your designer will be your contact person from the initial meeting through the final walk-through of the project. Our skilled designers and experienced craftsman ensure that all phases of your project, from design to construction to planting, are well -coordinated and of consistent quality.
Is HGTV helping or hurting the design/build landscape industry? I believe that would be a matter of opinion, wouldn’t it? Perspective? From a consumer’s perspective, I am sure that shows like Yard Crashers or Curb Appeal can be AMAZING! Especially how fast they are able to get things done…it almost seems like you could complete your entire landscape in 30 minutes and for just pennies! From a professional’s perspective, however, you know just how much time and effort it took to complete those projects. All the people behind the scenes working day and night…the weeks (more…)
WHAT ARE MY NEEDS?
Keep in mind that a successful landscape is both practical and beautiful. So, rather than just picking out attractive plants, consider what purposes you want your new landscape to serve. Do you need an outdoor kitchen area? A play space for children? A vegetable garden? A private spot that blocks the neighboring property from view? Consult family members to ensure that everybody’s needs are represented in your plan.
WHAT IS MY BUDGET?
If your cash flow is limited, it might make sense to tackle just one area at a time, completing your landscaping project over the space of several years as time and money allow. For example, you (more…)
